Window crank stem too short - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My window regulator stem (where the crank mounts to) is too short. With the door panel on, I cant get the handle to go in far enough to tighten the set screw. Even without a felt pad, it won't do it. I bought the regulator a couple of years go from GMC Paul. Anyone run into this problem? Solution?

you used to be able to buy extensions for customizing vans.jc whitney?

I'd start by contacting GMC Paul. He's usually pretty good with customer service and advice.
