WTB 8 bolt leaf spring rear end 1971

Looking for a complete rear end. Do not need the springs. I bought a 1971 long bed missing the rear end.
Thanks for any help.

Re: WTB 8 bolt leaf spring rear end 1971

Does anyone know if I can use a rear end from a trailing arm set up. Can I weld some thing on the housing to use for a spring purch and then use U bolts to hold it together?

I would advise you to call the parts stores and price normal stuff like brake shoes and drums and brake cylinders... you may want to find a later model rear once you see the stupid prices (and non-avalibility) of the parts.

Yes,you can adapt the axle from coil to leaf.It takes alot of care to get the pinion angle right and both sides the same.

Re: WTB 8 bolt leaf spring rear end 1971

I have a 14 bolt with 4.11's from a 96 G30 I would sell. I also have coil spring Dana 60's with a 3.54 posi or a 70 Eaton 4.56 rear with a Detroit Locker. I got you covered and I am only 2 hours away.

and ditto on relocating the spring perches, easy to do with a little skill.
