Re: Anyone have a 90-95 Chevy truck with a 5.7?
OK Russell
First shot shows the alternator bracket (driver side) loosely in place. It uses the two bolt holes on the head and the upper bolt hole down next to the crank. The AC and tensioner bracket (passenger side) Again uses the upper hole by the crank and my passenger head only has one hole (outer edge) and it bolts there. There are two support brackets that bolt to the rear of the tensioner and one rod goes to the front intake manifold stud, the other bolts to the intake or pass side intake bolt. I don't have my intake on to tell for sure. I am told that these two rods are different from the 4.3 and the smallblock, but I can't confirm yet until I get my intake on. I am told that they need to be longer for the 5.7. The last picture shows the bolts I am using to hold the brackest on and the rde lines show about how the tensioner support rods would look. There is another bracket on the driver side the goes from the rear of the alternator and bolts to the back of the power steer pump. If you are running headers, you have to trim that off. I could find that one at the moment to show the mod. I'll have some more shots this weekend as I'll be lookng at a few trucks that have them intalled
