BB 402 oil dipstick
I have a 71 BB 402. Can I get a new NOS BB 402 dipstick from the dealer?

I was hoping someone could answer my question without the aggravation of calling.

No, they are no longer available, I purchased a $10 unit from my local speed shop, it mimmicks the original quite well. I was going to paint it black, but decided to leave it chrome.

Re: BB 402 oil dipstick
Yeah, the one I have is chrome and it leaks. I tried scuffing, changing the o-ring and using sealer. I couldn't even get the o-ring to stay on the tube and move into the female end on the oil pan. It just kept slipping over the ridge on the dip stick tube. Got tired of messing with it and was hoping I could get original from dealer.

I'll call the guy I bought my 454 from and see if he has the original out of it.
