title ?

I got a beautiful 69 long bed truck was re done about 8 years ago all nuts and bolts are stainlesss still a/c works power windows awesome truck . the truck set about 4 years then i got it the other day the only thing wroung with the truck the clear coat is pealing on the truck . thats why the man sould it to me . but know he cant get a title for the truck . the truck was his dads then his what can i do to get a title for this truck .this is a awsome truck tilt-a/c 'tack dash - original radio with 8 track- power windos . any ideals would help thanks

you need to talk to peopel in your area.. see if you can get an indemnity bond or another legal way of getting the title

you can try your local DMV to get a duplicate title and or have a title search done// all states have different procedures so i'd say the best way is to go down in person and explain the situation and see what your state will do to bring you into compliance

Usually the previous owner can file for Lost Title

Who ever legally owned it before....the person who's name is on the title, will probably have to do all the work.
Your DMV is where you need to go though.

check broadway title .com i think for 150 they can get a title in your name. never used em so i dont know if it works or not.

If the owner has itor a family member I say you have a good chance of getting a title.DMV.

Here is what i found out in a recent title quest.
Broadway title has restrictions on certain states and years ( after 1980 or something), and cant do titles in Ohio except for newer than 1990, IIRC.

The previous owner usually dont wanna help. Even if you offer them $$$

You can do a "friendly suit" against your county and file for a title, costs about $200.

Or , you can find a small car lot with somebody who will file for a title for you. THis only cost me $52, (50 plus 2 for the paper work).
Got a clean title from him in 2 weeks. they buy auction vehicles all the time and many dont ccome with titles.
Worked for me!
