Options for a better blower
I am getting ready to hook up the A/C system (original truck A/C to the L31 compressor). One thing that I have found though, is that my blower fan hardly blows at all! Should I get an OEM replacement, or is there a better option (motor from another car/truck) that I can fit in there with little cutting/fabricating?
Thanks, Tim

Re: Options for a better blower
you could take the blower motor out of the housing and clean out 35years of crap and see what a differance that makes

Re: Options for a better blower
I put a blower motor in a 66 Chevy 1/2 ton once from a 87 Chevy mini-van. Look around and a replacement wont be hard to find. Just one more thing to love about GM products!

A properly working OEM is all you need. They`ll make you sweat in Janurary and shiver in August.Ever see it advertised in one of these trucks for sale,"cold a/c"?

Re: Options for a better blower
I found that when I upgraded to serpentine belts and a 105 amp alternator my blower motor will blow hard enough to part your hair now. Just an added benny.
