YES

You could wire the side markers to flash with turn signals. With my LED sidemarkers wiring would be know different than wire standard bulb sidemarkers to flash with turn signals. I think my front side markers on my blazer do allready. The only thing is I'm not sure if the flasher will be up to the task of so many LEDs. With 240 LED out back with my tailight inserts you must upgrade to a electric flasher to get them working. I'll soon find out if another 200 LED will make a difference in the front bumper turn signals.

Trust me once you get The stock clear tailight lenses, and a set of my LED tailight inserts, it'll be custom! LOL These will get all other 67-72 owners asking where you got them. There very brilliant.

But if I had the money for custom body work, I'd like to make a lense the same shape as the back-up and tailight lenses all one piece, and take the piece of metal out that devides the two.

What LED inserts are you interested in? The taillights, or side markers? I can make any insert for 67-72 lenses, as long as theres room behind the lenses. The Tail light inserts are $120.00 per pair with new Electric flasher. The side markers, will require the person wanting them to send me the side markers, then I'll install LEDs 75.00 for 4 sidemarkers I figure.

New Pictures!

Here is the 216 LED board. I'm working with a member from this board, to bring these LED inserts to you cheaper. So stay tuned, and feel free to e-mail me directly for up to date info.

blazer2wd1972@hotmail.com

Hopefully these 216 per side LED inserts will be available close to the 120 LED per side quote of 120.00 per set, I told you all earlier. I think the 216 LED per side will be standard. But that's still to be desided. Let me know if the 216 looks alot better or not.

120 per side

216 per side

Side by side 120 & 216

yes, it looks signifigantly better. From my experience with LEDs.. you NEED as many LEDs as you can fit in an application to properley compete with standardn incandescent applications. for $120 set I'd definatley be in for the 216s, the 120s.. maybe, it will still be a long time before I need something like taillights so its hard to say for sure if my truck will even have OEM taillights :P

The brightness of the 120 & 216 in the picture isn't accurate. The 216 LED in the picture, are actually 1800mcd while the 120 are 1500mcd. The 216 per side are very bright. Much better than the 120. And the 216 fill the lense much fuller, and more brilliant.

Hey Reumster . I have been following the process of your LED taillights but so far, I haven't taken notice of you working on taillights for stepside trucks, What about us man?? I would like to see some of those, keep up the good work, and let us know when you get those stepside LED's

Yes the fleetside LED inserts will work on Burbs. As far as stepsides are conserned, there are a few places making them all ready. Seeing as the housing is so widely used. Look here

http://www.hitechledproducts.com/pro...ry=4&SID=42281

Or here

http://www.datasheets.led.net/traffi...ffic_index.htm

But stay tuned for 67/68 front parking inserts, and 71/71 front parking inserts. Also Clear custom deluxe Side markers with LED inserts, and possibly Billet Bowtie LED sidemarkers

I think the front side markers flash with turn signals, so you should be able to jumper the front to the rear, and the rear should then flash to. I want to do that also.

personally.. if you could convert the rear LEDs to such that when you put on brakes, the top portion is a turn signal whijle the bottom is brake. .IE if you are just braking.. the whole light lights up.. but if you are braking and turning.... you get the idea. think something like that would be possible?

I just recently got me a '67 front clip, so the need for side markers are no more... but if I do rear LEDs.. the front turns have got to be LED also..

I hear you I need to make front inserts for my blazer, just to busy with everyone elses stuff. I made a set of 68 GMC front inserts. And I'm making 67 Front inserts now, actually 2 sets. I'll post pictures soon. Very nice.

What I was thinking of taking it a step farther is a third of the insert would be Amber LEDs and two thirds would be red. It would require clear lenses to look right. But I think it would require some hard wiring.

Also even a step farther and very expensive, but very trick, would be a insert with 12LEDs wide and 40 LEDs long no spaces.(do the math your looking at 480 LEDs PER SIDE!) Every other LED would be amber, so when your turn signal came on the whole lense would be illuminated amber, and when parking lights where on the whole lense would still be lit Red. Or even a step farther and HIGHLY expensive and just plain crazy silly, would be using 480 per side dual color amber/red LEDs very trick!

Very nice inserts you have there.

I was thinking that if you are instested in using less LEDS (by a factor of 10) you might want to look at the star emitters offered by Luxeon. Their website is http://www.lumileds.com/

More LED info can also be found http://ledmuseum.home.att.net/
