Re: 70 chevy on overhaulin'

The post must be on the 67-72 board. Anyway the name of the show is OVERHAULIN TRUCKS so maybe Chip will do a 73-87 in a future show. If OVERHAULIN TRUCKS is successful, one of you guys could have your wife or girlfriend present your story and truck to Chip and see if it's worthy of Fooses' golden touch. My wife tried early last year to get my beater on the show, but it didn't make it. If it did it would have been a huge surprise ,because I didn't know anything about the show.

Re: 70 chevy on overhaulin'

I saw that last night, truck turned out great, I agree that Soldier deserved it. It Was nice the truck and engine had history behind it, makes the chances the recipient will run it through Barret Jackson that much less.

I think you have to Live in the L.A. Area to get your car on that show.. Somehow I don't see them doing a show for me and my truck way over here in Florida.

Plus it's an Olds Diesel, Fooses Crew probably wouldn't know what to do with it.. They'd Probably toss it for some Huge HP big block which would piss me off.

Re: 70 chevy on overhaulin'

I saw the show. It was great and the guy who got it overhauled had the patience of Job. I don't think I could have be as level headed as he was. They did way more custom stuff then they showed. Bed fill fuel tank, inside tail gate latch, etc. Way better than the Copperhead project on Trucks.

As far as getting on the show...When they did Lance Armstrong's car last year they did it in Austin, Texas using local shops. A lot of the parts came from the same major suppliers/sponsors of the show, but the work was localized by location. Maybe there is hope for the rest of us not in the L.A. area.

Re: 70 chevy on overhaulin'

I've already told Jody everything I want done to the truck if I ever got on Overhaulin. I doubt seriously I ever will being in a smaller town than DFW area where there is a ton of places to get trucks rebuilt.

Re: 70 chevy on overhaulin'

If I had to pick between the two I definitely would pick CopperHead. It's a little over the top for a daily driver, but it's way better than just a stock rebuild. To each is own though.

350ci+TH350=Foose Truck
