rear axle bearings

This last weekend I was going to redo the brakes on my 87 Blazer. When I got in there I discovered that the axle seals were leaking. I have done seals before and I was wondering how hard it is to change the bearings. Since I will already have the rear end apart, it seems like the thing to do. Have any of you done this, and if so, how tough is it? The Blazer has the 10 bolt rearend. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: rear axle bearings

The bearings seldom fail, but the axles wear through the case hardening, requiring new axles, or axle saver bearings.
