assy. of frontend questions

guys,
i have a '72 chevy 1/2 ton 2wd p/u & have a few questions...

1) i am trying to put the front end of my truck back together & have a few questions. i am trying to put the inner fenders back on & am not sure how they go back??? i know they bolt from the bottom at the front but how & where do they bolt towards the cab (firewall). i am also wanting to know on the drivers side how does the inner fender go with the power steering hoses??? does the fender lay over the hoses or do the hoses lay on the inner fender??
2) i have a leak at the front brake line where the hard line connects to the flex line on the drivers side, i have replaced the flex line once already & i think that i might have screwed the threads up on the hard line!! first do you guys know where or how to get just the single replacement of the hard line?? i really don't want to go through the hassle of bending my own (safety) & second do you guys know if there is supposed to be any kind of thread sealer that is to be applied when connecting the brake lines??? i don't think so, but i thought i might ask.
3) i am also trying to put the wiper assy back on (at the cowl_outside) & want to know if it is possible to get replacement screws for the wiper arms at the end where the spindle for the arm sticks through the cowl holes ( 2- screws for each side)???

thanks for the time for any help you might be able to provide...

Re: assy. of frontend questions

Question1- There should be a 1" square hole in the back of the inner fender that should line up to a hole on the cab that is in the front to rear support beams on the cab. You should have 2 bolts with a very large washer on each bolt. That is where they should go. Hope this helps you out.

Question 2- Try calling Inline Tube and see if they will sell you just the line you need. I used them for the lines on my Orange and White 72.

Hi

Most of the larger truck parts suppliers have Brakelines that are allready bendt, you can choose between stainless steel or oem style brakelines.
Not sure if I am allowed to mention names here but here we go: LMC trucks, Year one and classic Industries will be able to help you with th ebrakelines.
Good luck.

Re: assy. of frontend questions

eddie,
thanks! i did buy all my replacement lines from lmc it is sold as a kit. that is the problem i am having is that the suppliers i know of only sell the lines as a kit not by them selves.. i understand their logic, but at the same time i would think that i am not the only one that has messed up the lines before & just needed a single replacement. ohh well i guess i will probably just fab a new one up although i am not liking the idea of it dou to the safety of it (my work)

thanks again,

http://www.inlinetube.com/

That's the place to go for brake lines. Everyone I've talked to in chat swears by these guys for lines, clips and connectors
