High hump for 4x4
I am wanting to take a cab off of a 2wd and place it on a 4wd frame. Don't I have to replace the hump in the floor (even if it is a automatic)? If so, where can I find one of these 4x4 humps?

Re: High hump for 4x4
FYI--
High-humps and low hump tunnel covers came in many different motor-tranny configurations--not just 4x4's. For example, the big block 2-wd automatic trucks have large hump tunnel covers without the shifter holes. You could use one of those, but you'd need to cut it for the transfer case shifter. They usually go for 20-30 bucks in the parts board... Chris

Re: High hump for 4x4
That`s right,the only thing that`s 4wd-specific is the t-case shifter hole.The small blocks & 6cyls w/3 on the tree and auto trans had the "fixed" low-hump.All others had the "bolt-on" high-hump:All big block auto/no hole,All 4spd/1 hole,All 4wd 1 hole.4wd with auto/2 holes.

Re: High hump for 4x4
I have a cab from an 84 4wd w/4spd that does NOT have a bolt in hump. I just found this out 2-3 days ago when I went to unbolt it. It is a high hump, though.

Re: High hump for 4x4
So, are you telling me that if I have a bolted in hump that it will work for a 4x4? Are you saying that the only difference between a high hump from a 4x4 and a hump from a big block is the hole cut for the transfer case shifter?
