Re: any vendors here dealers for painless?

The guys who told you it was hard to install obviously never installed a Painless kit!! If you have even moderate mechanical ability and take your time with getting good crimp connections (don't use an el-cheapo crimper either), you will find it easy to do. Some guys at those shops feel like they need to HAVE an opinion about somethng even if they haven't had real life experience...maybe making up for other short comings if you know what I mean. I went Painless....and it truly was relatively painless. Got mine from Summit but cool for you that you are asking our board vendors! Good luck.

Sweet only 300 bones for the wiring harness, and another 60 or so for the ac portion. That rocks...

Dunno I was there just yesterday dropping off my truck to have them weld on a replacement frame section to FINALLY complete my front-end repair from my kid's accident. There were a number of complete Painless kits...including (I believe) one for '72 Chevy pickups. They had a pegboard display of other Painless stuff too..but not the underhood relay kit I was getting ready to order from Summit. I would talk to Jamey L., he's the guy I'm dealing with.

I can't guarantee they had the harness - it was just a quick look. But the wiring area is right in front of the counter, so they could easily look

Re: any vendors here dealers for painless?

well i went there today and sure enough you are right. they even had the kit i wanted. i said, hey i called you on this yesterday and you said you didnt carry it and werent dealers....well we try to avoid painless we dont like it...i was thinking cool maybe i can get a sweet deal on the chevy harness if they are basically slowly closing out the painless stuff. well um no, they want a hundred more dollars for it than other places. needless to say i will never buy anything from dreamers, if you cant trust you are at least getting a pretty fair price why bother.

Re: any vendors here dealers for painless?

good for you. i'd be leery of any place that tried to 'shoo' away my potential business over the phone, just b/c they have a product maybe as good, maybe not that has a higher markup.

Re: any vendors here dealers for painless?

We don't sell Painless cause we prefer to use Ron Francis Wireworks but we have used Painless at times. We just like Wireworks products If you can chew bubble gum you can put these on from either company.
