Dana-60 Posi Gear Lube???
What is the proper rearend oil for a Dana-60 posi. It's a factory posi.

You just want to use a regular 80-90 weight gear oil and then add a posi trac additive. I was able to get the additive at a parts store. If you can't find the additive at your local parts store I'm pretty sure you can get it at your local GM dealership!

My train of thought on this is to use synthetic gear lube. (Still get the posi juice though)
Since no one ever drains a diff for 10 - 20 years at a time, go ahead and get the better oil. But that's just my opinion. |
