coil springs
I have a 67 1/2 ton 2wd with a 283. I want to drop the front end .I need to know how much to cut out of a coil spring for a 2 inch drop? I'm going the cheap way out.

Your're going to get several opinions on this but to me the only way the spring will fit properly is to cut exactly one coil off, no more, no less and see what you get.

I cut 1 1/4 coils and got about 2.75" drop.

one coil should be about 2 inches, and I agree, it'll only fit properly if you do a full coil.
