Header color poll, what do you think?

Since I am incapable of original thought, I decided to see what you guys think.

Below is a pic of my engine compartment. I am getting used headers for it. Since ceramics are so expensive I will probably use High temp paint to clean them up. I think a blue header would look good in here, but what is your opinion.

Re: Header color poll, what do you think?

I think if you want blue headers then blue headers you should have... IF... you can find a paint that will stay on them more or less permantly. Half baked off blue paint is gonna look crappy. imo

Re: Header color poll, what do you think?

from what i've seen the only header paints that hold up for a while are black and silver the blue red greens yellow seem to start lookin bad after about the first 30seconds

Unless its a trailer queen, use black or silver. There are better high temp paints in these colors.

Re: Header color poll, what do you think?

I would do them black with VHT flame proof paint after you sand blast them. If you are not going to blast them dont waste the money on paint.

The cost of Ceramic is worth the utility, meaning, if you plan to keep em and the truck, $300 will get you a header that will last forever (well, at least longer than rusty, or rusty painted headers will.) My opinion, I had a pair that I painted with the white VHT flame proof and they stayed that way, so no matter what color, blast em clean and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE PAINT CAN!! Otherwise, no matter the color you choose, the paint will burn off.
