need help with air.
i know this gets brought up alot.and i read some old threads, mainly the 67-72 guys.not alot of 73-87 input.still its a tough decision. vintage air or similar?put a whole bunch into rounding up all the stock stuff i'm missing? condenser radiator, hoses, all vent work is gone, all i really have is drier, brackets, and the compressor.i'm sure alot of you lived this one.your experiences would be helpful.

Well the easyest way out is find a donor truck for the missing peices intact and take as needed. It will most liekly be the most cost effective way to get cold air back into your truck. I'm getting ready to put an entire OE system into my truck which came without air. I priced all the pecies out minus the compressor, condensor, evaporator and acumulator from the bone yard and it was right around $100. That $100 included a HVAC controll, box, vents and wiring as needed. Not too bad but IRRC a different heater core is needed. It's basicly a $600 job the way I'm doing it but you should be able to get yours going for under $200.
