My shortbed frame score.

I went last night with dirtball and my wife to go pick up this frame for my wife's truck, "Rita's Rod", the flat black '69 with the green wheels. She has been wanting to convert her truck to a shorty and we got this roller for only $300. What do you think, good score?

I would like to thank Mikes71, he is the one that found this frame and informed me of it. Thanks Mike.

Re: My shortbed frame score.

sweet!

So will Ritas Rod become a short fleet/stepper or just a shorter flatbed?

Re: My shortbed frame score.

A short fleet, and I won't do the conversion until we have a bed, which could be quite a while in Colo.

Damn Chris, that is nice and clean! P/S, brake lines, manual trans x-member, and everything else there too. Definately a nice score!

plus lowerd already, and maybe a posi looking at the fact that both rear tires are missing lots of tread.
Bummer it's a drum brake set up all around though.

Re: My shortbed frame score.

$300 is fair for a rolling chassis. It looks fairly clean too so maybe it has some parts already replaced? Great score!

Ley your wife know alot of us on the board love her truck.... & making it a shorty will be even better (for some).

Re: My shortbed frame score.

Thanks guys, I still have it tied down to the trailer, so I have not checked the rear yet, but i think the frontend is going to end up being tight. Upper ball joints are bolted in and everything else looks pretty good. Since my wife wants to keep her four speed, the crossmember already there is a time saver for me.
