One piece windows?
Hey guys, Larry or board member "Lemield" stopped by yesterday with his awesome SWB 70' CST. He really has done some nice things to it, stereo in the glove box, remote relocation thingy, one piece windows, torque thrust wheels ...really nice truck! Anyway he gave me a ride around the block and the one piece windows are really very quiet, I was impressed! and the brings me to.......my 71' lil' Red truck when I bought it had old non chrome vent POS windows....so I bought some brand new chrome vent windows from ...if I remember right Chevy Duty (it was a year and a half ago) anyway I have never liked the way the fit...and better said is they DON"T fit!!! I don't think I can return them as the boxes are long gone and they were bought so long ago. I don't want to cut on them to make them fit.
The long and skinny of it is...ebay for my new non fitting vent windows and order the one piece windows...yes they'll be electric for sure. It's only money huh guys???.....and I do know..... Last edited by ChevyDude; 05-21-2006 at 10:51 AM. |

Re: One piece windows?
Do you have OEM dors, or aftermarket? I have been kicking this around too, but I have aftermarket doors and have heard they don't fit too great. Good luck with them, I am still leaning towards getting them.

Re: One piece windows?
My doors are original. I am not happy at all with these new vent windows and have written Chevy Duty a letter to tell them I basically have two boat anchors here that cost me $400 bucks. I never could get them to fit right and when Lemield saw they yesterday he agreed...they suck!
So.....One piece electric windows is the ticket. Don't know if I should order the glass kit from Brothers $299.00 and then order the electric scissor kit from A-1??? Gonna have original look crank style switches though...I do know that! Last edited by ChevyDude; 05-21-2006 at 01:49 PM. |
