Parts Truck pics (finally)...

Sorry, but I just got a digital camera. :P

Here's the parts truck I bought last November. I got it mostly for body panels. The bed has got some good stuff, and the hood is nice. The 350 is original 4bolt main, so I may try to salvage it. Also the trailing arms are in decent shape and the frame looks good. Lots of good parts, but lots of bad ones too. I think the cab is crap, and the differential is toast.

Ya know what's sad, your parts truck looks better than my driver!!!! That truck is in excellent shape, compared to what you might find around here. Good score.

Thanks. I talked the guy down to $600 from something like $750. I didn't think it was worth $500 when I got it, but he just got laid off, and he's got kids. If I knew that before I would have given him $750 flat, but I think he wanted to deal a bit.

It's a 1 owner too, but the pics actually make the truck look better than it is. When I test drove it I thought it was going to come apart. Every bolt on the truck is loose. Front-end is blown. I don't know about the steering box.Losts of floor rust, and the tailgate is a beat-up GMC (if anyone wants it its free).

As I take it apart I'll sell what I don't want. I already got folks asking about the Custom 20 emblems. Markers aren't powered, BTW.

Thanks guys.

Just a warning. I can't commit to selling much of anything yet because I haven't started taking it apart, and it'll be a while until I can. I don't want to make any commitments with anyone until I can get the part off the truck. I also might need this stuff, so as I said before as I take stuff off, and determine whether I need them or not I'll sell them on the parts board.

Thanks again--
