Flowmaster Mufflers
Hello board, its been a while since I was here last.
Anyway, does anyone know what dual offset I should use when I get my Flowmufflers? Im buying them after market, and not at a muffler shop, cost to much. And the guys at the counter are not the brightest either. Thanks |

Ok I understand. Well my plan is to run it out under the rear bumper, considering I have a longbed.

This is the reply I got from Brothers Truck Parts when I asked about mufflers.
"You just have to get under your truck and see what will fit properly. It changes due to headers or stock manifolds and if you are running the exhaust inside or outside the frame. " DOH!!! I forgot that I was running headers. DOH!!! |

my mufflers (not flows but about the same size, maybe alittle smaller. they're terminators, i dont know the dimensons) are under the bed and they are offset in, center out (i think, i have no middle bed section and look at them every day) and the pipes exit behind the tires.

I have 2 chamber, center/center, but mine comes out in front of the rear tire, so not exactly the same set up.

I have a Long Bed and mine are just inside the frame from the Headers back, the balance pipe is about a foot back from the Header Collectors and the Flowmasters are right around the Driveshaft and the pipes exit behind the wheels, looks and sound great, 40's with 2.5 pipes.

Mine is outboard of the frame under the driver's floorboard (really! and on purpose ). It is offset in and center out.

Most of your mufflers are just behind the rear wheels.
I want mine to exit on each side of the license plate. |

My thoughts are , talk with the shop bending the pipe......it will depend on placement,& leaf or coil on the springs. Hell, I can put whatever I want on the longhorn, cause it has leaf springs! the coil sprung trucks dont have the room to play with. another thought, the 2 chamber flows are pretty f***ing loud......I ran a set, &! pulled them after about 2000 mi, & installed a set of Dynomax superturbos. Good luck.....Crazy longhorn
