which place/space is the year on the VIN?

what letter is what year?

the fifht # over is the last # in the year. like 7= 67 8= 68 9=69 0=70 1=71 2 72 .

1972 trucks use 6th and some 70-71 GMC truck dont follow that 5th pattern but otherwise thats typically it. Well, 67 GMC can be different also.

Just list the first 7 characters or so and someone will know how to decode it.
