Keep trying to sell it as a whole or part it?
So I need to sell the truck, I am going off to college and I cant keep it here my father said, so I have to sell it. I havent gotten any calls on it or and e-mails on it. Am I just asking wayy too much at $3500? I really need to get $3200 out of it for college for books over the 4 years and whatnot (Tuition Room and Board are being paid for by my parents but I have to cover everything else so gas, insurance, books, any other money)
So should I keep tryign to sell it as a whole or am I going to be forced to part it out? I mean there is nothing wrong with it other than the hole in the floor and that it needs to be painted one color. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=198226 |

Re: Keep trying to sell it as a whole or part it?
its going to be hard to sell it for that much, if its not complete and ready to drive... The way it sits now, I could see it going for $2000 not much more

agreed. However if you put a tank in it, put the switch for the electric fans in, and had it painted you could get a hell of a lot more than 3500 for it. If nothing else atleast get a tank for it. The boat gas can i think is one of the biggest things hurting you right now

I gave $3,500 or my 72 K-20 last year. It ran really well, had factory air, tach, tilt, alum rims and old BFG mudders. Yes, rusty in corners and doors, but aside from that a very solid truck.
I'm thinking you are a little on the high side for that truck as it stands.

Re: Keep trying to sell it as a whole or part it?
use a stock fan (get rid of the electric fans) or get the fans operational whichever is cheaper.
get a gas tank from one of the board members in your area. Hook up them brakes! (get the lines at least.) Get her running and you can get $3000-4000 easy! If you paint her you won't get your money back. If you don't want to get her running, then part her out. That lwb fleetside bed and engine would get you some fast cash. Just my opinion, Dano

part it out is the way to get the most money// as it sits it's just a basic accumulation of parts not a running driving roadworthy vehicle an abandoned project

Re: Keep trying to sell it as a whole or part it?
I was under the impression the breaks were not complete as well.... so best bet would be to get the tank hooked up right, and place a better ad that states that its in driving condition.. the ad was a little misleading I thought it was in more of pieces than road worthy

Re: Keep trying to sell it as a whole or part it?
I thought from the ad that it wasn't running and had no brakes.
Delete the old ad, get a new ad time and see if you get a buyer. Good Luck!
