Can't decide on rims (17") for black 71 Chev - Help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

This is my Dad's truck, he threw some 15" rally rims recently but it still does not bring the potential of the truck's lines out.
We think moving up to a great 17" wheel is the answer so I'd love to hear some input as to what the right rim choice is.

Personally I like the American Racing 200S, it's different enought from the Torque Thrust II to make is stand out.

Yea, they're a safe bet but if there's something more original out there that goes well with the truck I'd like to see it.

I agree. I'm thinking of putting the 200S's on 17's on mine. I plan to use the same tire combo as Copperhead minus the Colorado Custom wheels.

I went with the Wheel Vintiques Billet Cruzers. I thought they kind of had a retro look like the old Halibrands The Halibrand is still available but they are cast where these are billet. 17x8 is on the front and 17x9.5 is on the back.

I run 17 x 8.5 original Impala SS rims w 265/65/17 tires. There's a pic in the tire/wheel postie.

depending on what style rim i like 18" wheels myself it fills up the wheel well pretty good and you can put a pretty good size tire on it. with out running some little dinky tire.

The ones N2TRUX posted are looking the best to me.

Yes, the truck was featured in the paper the other day. Too bad I didn't get my photos printed for it instead of those boring newspaper ones.
