Indentification Help

Hi Gang! Not usually on this forum but found an old truck in a farm town nearby that I am interested in and do not know what year it is. It has a custom script to the rear of he windows up the side of the cab. It also appears to have a two speed automatic transmission. the truck has AC. The truck is a short bed and I thought that it would be a handy tow vehicle for my older corvette. What can anyone advise me as to what to look for for id purposes, the perfect truck would be a 65........................Thanks ,,,,,,,,Kirby

Re: Indentification Help

if it has four headlights it is a 60 or 61.if it has two headlights and the windshield post leans forward at the top its a 62 or 63.if the top of the windshield post leans back its a 64-66.the if it has ac built into the dash its rare.

Re: Indentification Help

Badge style and location will tell the year. This one is low, so it's a 64 or 66. 65 was higher. Looks like a 66. If the bagde is rectangular it's a 66. The 64 used the same badge as 63, which had the bowtie sitting above the series and the badge did not have the rectangular background, the bowtie had it's own outline.
