73-87 3/4 ton lower arms on a 69 1/2 ton

Can I put a 73-87 3/4 ton lower control arm on my stock 1969 1/2 ton crossmember.

If so what kind of modifications will I have to do?

Re: 73-87 3/4 ton lower arms on a 69 1/2 ton

Are you trying to convert the half ton to 3/4 ton? If so I think yes but if it is to use a 3/4 ton arm on a 1/2 ton to convert to 3/4 ton spindles. But not for using half ton spindles. The hole for the ball joint is larger in the 3/4 ton a-arm than the 1/2 ton. i hope this helps.

ok I think that I am not simplifying this enough

WILL A 73-87 3/4 TON LOWER CONTROL ARM FIT ON MY 1969 1/2 TON CROSSMEMBER.

lets not get overly technical about what I am doing although I appreciate the concern. this is all I need to know

Re: 73-87 3/4 ton lower arms on a 69 1/2 ton

thank you

after reading my message I sounded a little snouty but sometimes all a guy wants is an response to the original question.

I am putting 89 spindals on my 69 and I need to put 3/4 ton lowers on. I have read all the posts but no one mentions all the possible solutions to the problem to broaden the possibilities.

Thanks again.
