I originally posted this on the engine&drivetrain board but I know more of us look here so... When I make the swap from carb to EFI can I use the factory hardline (from my 71 Blazer)? For the return line I believe I'll need a larger diameter than originally used. Where would I look to find flexible line without the high price of braided steel and a reasonably priced (high pressure) fuel filter?

I have had a 86 305 H.O. TPI in my 71 since 89. The filter is nothing, just buy it for what ever year motor you use, the lines can be made up from any good hydrolic hose maker. You should be able to use the line already there for the return. If I'm not mistaken you can buy rubber hose now that will hold up to the high pressure of TPI also at local part stores. I did the TPI swap 2 years ago on my 71 Blazer.I used the orig. blazer tank and orig. 3/8ths feed lines.
I spliced in the pump and filter inline on the 3/8ths feed line.

I used 5/16ths hard brake line for the return and ran that down the drivers side frame rail.

I also switched all the rubber lines to F.I. rated rubber lines(they take much greater preassures)

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
