Picked these up over the weekend...
I'm pretty excited that I got these on evil bay over the weekend. I had to drive three hours each way to pick 'em up but the gas was still 1/5 of what shipping would have been to the house.
These will be going on my 70 K5 and I wanted to get your guys opinions... 1. Leave them as is 2. Powdercoat them black 3. Have them painted the same color as the body (Copperhead Pearl) 4. Leave the polished aluminum and paint the face only I originally wanted to have them powdercoated the same color as the truck but I don't think they can match the color with powdercoat. I'd show you a picture of the truck but the only things painted right now are the jams and the tailgate hinges. My body guy just had surgery on his ankle and will be down for four to six weeks

Re: Picked these up over the weekend...
I want some for my`92 K3500.After 13 years,it`s time for a change.
Consider a gun metal grey metalic, charcoal. What else would be black on your Blazer, fabbed bumpers or anything? This stuff would all look awesome in the metalic charcoal with the copper. Here`s a little bit on the`95...

That's a LOT of lug holes for a little 'ol K5, man. I think you should sell 'em to vtblazer.

Re: Picked these up over the weekend...
VT, I'm glad you just bought a set now I don't have to sell you mine
My blazer is on 1/2 ton gear right now just so I have a rolling chassis but when I get it back from paint I've got 3/4 ton running gear out of a 72 Cheyenne that I picked up from Wes. It's got 4.10's and a detroit locker in the rear. I've got a guy here that will powdercoat them for 120.00 for the set. He does really good work and I still may have them done. It's my body guy that put a bug in my ear about maybe painting them. Maybe I should have someone photoshop them. Right now the plan is to have a black interior with black top and accents kinda like Goose's rig. But now you guys got me thinking......charcoal may not be a bad idea. Can you get a soft top in dark grey? I know a while back Vlad had a Jimmy that was blue with grey interior and top and it looked real good.

I have a set of 4 just sitting off an H2. I really have no use for them but trying to sell them and ship them is a hassle I would rather not deal with right now. They are NICE---17"x8.5"~~~~~.

Re: Picked these up over the weekend...
Well I have decided to go ahead and have them painted the same color as the body. If you look closely at the wheels the outer lip and the centers are polished aluminum and the rest is painted silver. I played around with paint program over the weekend and I think it will look pretty cool with the silver painted the same as the body and leave the aluminum alone. Then I can use the factory HD2500 center caps with hole in the center for the hubs. The only picture I have of the HD caps are these.....
On another note, anyone ever fit these on a 1st gen blazer? I know the rim size is 17x8.75 and I believe the offset is 5.5. I would like to run at least 35.12.5.17's without spacers if possible. I going with six inches of lift with zero rates if needed. I used the search for a similar thread on here and coloradok5 but couldn't come up with anything. I hope they don't rub. I think VT is going to beat me to it as he picked up a set as well
