What Late Model Seats Fit Well In Our 67-72 Trucks?

Hey CAJ68 There are actually a lot of threads here on this forums that discuss that exact question. I have been looking at a few ideas myself. Do a search on this forum, and you should find some good ideas.

Late-model Silverado seats will work, many on here have done the swap. The most important thing with these that you need to consider is that our trucks were not designed for the built-into-seat mounting of the seatbelt. The floor will not hold up in the event of a frontal impact so you will need to add some sort of cross-bracing support under the floor to account for this. Also, if your gas tank is still in the cab, you'll probably have to relocate a blazer tank or fuel cell to the rear in order to have enough room to put one of the newer seats in.

Like mentioned above, you have to consider the seatbelt issue with this type of seat. I made reinforcements but you have to decide for yourself how to reinforce your floor if you use this type of seat.
