Upper Moldings
I have a 72' GMC that I'm replacing all the upper moldings on. I have the door ones off but I'm having some trouble with the others. Can I remove them without taking the fenders, etc. off? Is there a trick to getting the clips to release? All of the adhesive clips are detached, it's just the metal ones on the ends I can't get off. Thanks in advance..

Re: Upper Moldings
If you are talking about the upper body side trim, FENDER= You can do it by removeing the inner fenders and taking all the nuts off (about 6 per fender) DOOR=Take off 2 nuts (1 on each end) and slice the adheaseve tape with a razor blade.(about 4 places) BOX= same as door, 1 nut on each end, adhaseive in the middle.
Hope this helps. |
