Identify a 73 3/4 ton
I am looking at what appears to be a 1973 Chevy pickup truck but it has no emblems on it, how can I identify if it is a 3/4 or 1/2 ton? It has 8 lugs on the rims is that a definite sign it is a 3/4 ton? the Gross vehicle weight listed on the door is 8200, does this tell me anything? What other idications will tell if it is a 3/4 or 1/2 ton? Any help would be greatly appriecated.

Yes, it's a 3/4 ton. 8 lugs say that. Also 73 woulda had the 10 1/2" ring geared 14 bolt, so could the number of bolts on the rear diff cover. Out
