Speedo Cable Removal

I remember BobbyK discussing various lubing techniques for jittery cables. My doesn't work at all. I'm considering removing the cable from both the Tcase and the dash.

Can it be repaired?

Haven't really seen any in catalogs?

Am I missing something here?

How do I tie in a tach if I want one?

So many questions regarding this cable...

Re: Speedo Cable Removal

Take your old one to the parts store, you should be able to get a new one. Call first maybe.

Re: Speedo Cable Removal

A tach is wired to your coil if you have the old distributor or if you are using an HEI it is wired to the HEI.

Re: Speedo Cable Removal

Krue and Jack are right. Just need to know how long your cable is to get a new one. Check the old one first though. If you can turn the cable inside and it turns all the way thru, its not the cable. Maybe the gear in the tranny/xfer case. Good luck, Jeff.
