corp 10 u-bolts
swapping a corp 10 bolt in place of my dana 44hd, the original u-bolts for the dana are too narrow for the corp 10 bolt axle, does anyone know if I can get away with buying new u-bolts and using the original spring plates, or do I need to buy both?

Re: corp 10 u-bolts
Find a local spring shop and they should be able to bend up new u-bolts for what ever you need. ( I've done this swap before and I thought there was only one ubolt that was differant, the one that goes over the center section )

Re: corp 10 u-bolts
actually, the U-bolt that went over the center section is the only one that I don't need to replace, the other 3 appear to be 1/4" - 3/16" too small.
Maybe I will stop off at napa after work and see if they can help me.....unfortunately my local NAPA doesn't appear to be as helpful/knowledgable/stocked as many others.

Re: corp 10 u-bolts
bring the old ubolt in with you and just say i need one just like this but longer, other wise youll have to know what kind of truck it came out of..what year..what color..how many miles..2wd or 4wd..long or short bed...and probably some other questions i missed. i have a 205 transfer case in my 79 and i get that "are you sure its a 205?...my computer dont show 205 in a 79"

Re: corp 10 u-bolts
think I have it all solved, pulled out the levels to get an accutare measure of my axle diameter and I found a good spring shop down the road that is going to bend up new u-bolts for me....its also a junk yard, so hopefully they will have the new spring plates I need too.
