power window question on my 87
i was taken off my door panels and I ended up dropping the door panel on the passager side and my power window switch was still connected and ended up taken the wires out of the little black piece that connects to the power window switch, now i have no idea how to get them back in and what color goes where, did I mess this up really bad? Should it have electrical shop fix it or what? I was thinking about soldering the wire back on. any info on this and also i think i need the color codes if anyone has any, i dont know which color goes where.

Re: power window question on my 87
i have color codes on the driver side and shows A-Black,B-blue w/wht strp,c-tan,d-blue,e-brown w/blue strp, and F-pink but not sure i correct because on the passanger side on the shows letter A but do not have a black wire for black to go under A. If anyone knows about passager side power windows please let me know. thanks

Re: power window question on my 87
i havent seen inside the door of a power window truck of our generation, but it's only 2 wires, isn't it? If so, it doesnt matter which goes where.

there is two slots on each side where you can put the power lock and window switch but when you take the switch off there is a black connection with wires behind it which has about five wires all different colors that is the info on need, on the black part there labled a,b,c,d etc...and the colors go to certain letters and if not done correctly will start to over head the wires.

couldn't find anything online. I'd say find somebody or a truck in the junkyard with power windows and document where it's wires go.

87-
Try this. And, I wouldn't solder the wires back onto the connector. If I remember correctly, they are simply pressed in. I'd have to remove the panels to check.

Re: power window question on my 87
that is correct, i stuck the wires back in and was working but had to end up just getting it from salvage yard today. I was not able to get the wires back in because of them being pressed, getting them reversed out and then pressing them again is a pain because they are so small, was not having much luck on that so i gave up and was able to locate one from salvage.
