Re: i thought i was the only idiot this foolish

maybe the other guy has a show this week end and is missing 1 cap.
that is really high.
i guess he had to have it.

i sold a set of 80s 1/2 ton hubcaps on ebay this year they had plenty of dings and were filthy. and where acuratly desscribed in the listing.
i set the opening bid at $1 which was all they were worth. they ended up selling for $80+
i emailed both bidders trying to tell them to stop bidding when it reached $40
but they kept on going.

i ended up having a phone conversation whith the winning bidder, he seemed a little off. i ended up giving him some other parts he needed like seat bealts and jack tools, so i didnt feel like a crook . and i felt oblegated to wash the hub caps before i shipped them to him.

You get lucky somtimes, I sold some stuff a while back with similar results. It ended WAY higher than I expected, I had to refund some of the guys money. Its scary when stuff that seems trivial sells high.

That is a really rare nice NOS cap. It probably should reach around $100.

Its all about how bad you want it and, how much you are willing to pay for it.Thats what ebay is about. So to you, it was worth at least 100.00, to the other guy it could of been worth 200.
