I wouldn't use it BUT... it might very well serve a number of years before failing. Unfortunately when it fails , and it will , the damage will be catastrophic and much more expensive than a proper repair now. By the way, it takes a hell of a lot of grunt to bend a shaft like that. Did you launch the truck hard on slicks or something ? JMHO, Dean

Technically, it is usable -- but it will not allow the front DS yoke to slide along it as it should. Result can be some DS binding when the suspension works, i.e. when you are going over bumps.

Many long years ago, I twisted the output shaft of a TH400 in my '69 El Camino. All it took was some 'power braking' (apply brakes enough to lock the fronts, nail the skinny pedal and light the rear tires) courtesy of a 396/375 BBC.
