no drop w/ -4" Belltech rear springs

I didn't get anywhere close to a -4" drop with -4" Belltechs in the rear. What springs should I try now? I'm running a 285 / 60 /17 rear (with minitubed box) and 255/60/17 front. I'm trying to match the drop I've got in the front for a level stance......... Any suggestions other than airbags?

Those springs are probably 4" lower than factory height. If your suspension has sagged you wont get a true 4". How much room do you have between the frame and axletube? You could still put 6" springs in the rear which is what I have.

Were the wheels on there before? AS you added a much taller wheel and tire combo which might be why it is not lower in the rear.

How much drop is the front, 2 or 4?

Re: no drop w/ -4" Belltech rear springs

I've got 2" drop spindles with ?? springs in the front. Even with the Belltech -4" in the rear, I've got at least 6" from axle tube to bottom of the factory bumpstop. I hadn't even heard of -6" springs, but I think I'll try them. who makes em?

Don't worry about getting new springs, maybe get some 2" aluminum lowering blocks and new U-bolts. Lots of guys did it and I might do it until I can afford some bags.

EDIT: They have to be for Chevy C10 trucks, AutoZone and other parts stores do not regularly carry them. I would guess nearly most of the online truck companies would have them...LMC, The Truck Shop, Classic Industies, etc...

Check out www.earlyclassic.com for everything you need to get on down! They claim you will have 3" of clearance with a 6" drop in the rear but mine is slightly less than that. And no the wheels are Wheel Vintiques billet Cruzers 17x8 in the front and 17x9.5 out back.

OMG your truck is beautiful. once i get my corvette running again here hopefully in the next couple weeks i am thinking of putting it in the classic car trader and selling it and building a truck similar to yours or trading for something similar to yours. BTW that drop looks perfect
