WTB-The small hose to air vent on passenger side
Does anyone have the small hose that goes to the passenger air vent on the passenger side vent? Mine is missing this hose. Can not find in parts books. This is on my '86. Thanks

Re: WTB-The small hose to air vent on passenger side
If it's the part I'm thinking of, my '77 has a "creative piece". Somewhere along the way one of the PO's simply took some lightweight sheetmetal and rolled it into a tube that about fit the center distribution part (or whatever its called) and the passenger vent. I also complimented the install with some aluminum HVAC tape, since a lot of cool air was escaping behind the dash. I readily admit its a homely fix, but it does work. Since no one sees it, I let pure function prevail. Feel free to seek other ideas, BTW
Okay, I just checked another source: Classic Industries has some, for like $29 (!!). That rolled sheet aluminum sounds even better now... Brian |

Brian, thanks for the info. Anything that will work will be fine with me. $29.00 for a 6" or so piece of flex tube? If I do not find anyone who has this like in a parts truck, I will give this a try. Thanks again. John

I bought some at Auto Zone. Had the clamps and all. It was actually for the breather but it worked fine. They also sell replacement hose for air vents but none would fit my '73.

What size was the one you got for the breather?

Re: WTB-The small hose to air vent on passenger side
John, you're welcome. BTW, I realized that aluminum tube might be HVAC or hot water heater flue vent from Home Depot etc. It's only like 2 1/2 " diameter. I'll bet you could use that if the parts store mentioned above doesn't have the good stuff.

The one I bought was for the breather but I installed it as an AC vent tube. I do not recall what size it was. They sell several different sizes.
