power steering pulley?

I have tried 2 or 3 different power steering pulleys to try and line up my belts with the crank pulley. Anyone know the proper steering pulley number to look for for 71/72 chevy 350 would be?
Thanks

Re: power steering pulley?

I have the same problem as you. Nothing lines up except the water pump and the crank. Gonna have to pull it all apart and start from scratch. What I wouldn't give for a late model serpentine setup.

Re: power steering pulley?

Mine mostly has to do with the brackets for the alt. and power steering pump. I also have an aftermarket AC system that the PS pump has to line up with too. May check out the March stuff.

Re: power steering pulley?

I've been trying to find a 4" power steering pulley without any offset myself with no luck. (found one with off set so I know they exist)

The pulley's are identified by the make/model/year they came from and cross referencing seems impossible if your asking the guy behind the counter.

I would bet you would have to go to a junk yard to cross reference. I went to buy a oil filter for my vette I used to have. Used the same filter as my 91 S-10 4.3L. They had a different part# for it and wanted to charge me more. I asked them if it was the same as the one for my 4.3 and they couldn't tell me.

I actually need to find out what year/model my motor and tranny is. That might help me a lil. Godd luck on all of our searches. Sorry to hijack.
