Turbo 350 to 700r4 conversion
Hey guys, can anyone tell me....if I install a 700r4 in my 71 GMC, will the existing three speed auto shift on the column work? Will it not drop all the way down in first or will there be other problems I haven't thought of? Thanks for any help.

I have a 700r in my 72 that originally had a th350. On mine you can't manually pull it into 1st but I have a tilt column. I'm not sure with a non tilt...

Re: Turbo 350 to 700r4 conversion
That was my concern CustomCamper. I was hoping you would of said it had enough travel to operate a 4 speed. I don't suppose it's a big deal, but knowing I can't shift to 1st will bother me. I don't suppose there are any modifications that can be done, don't really want a floor shift as my wife thinks the "passenger" sits in the middle.
