power steering 61 4x4

Does someone know what year power steering box will work on a 61 chevy 4x4. Jeremy

67-72 sould work, you mite need to pull a hole to make it fit.

Depends on whether it is a 3/4 ton or 1/2 ton. The 3/4 ton frame is 7 inches wide just behind the cab, the 1/2 ton frame is 6 inches wide just behind the cab. The shorter frame will require the Rez Adpater or something similar, the taller frame does not require an adapter.

did you get the ps on your 62 as im looking to do it also but i question the 69-72 boxes as they swing differently that could cause the axle steering arm to hit the spring plates please let me know as mine is now being reassembled thanks, ed
