Does anyone know if it is possible to change the entire Wood Bed to a metal Bed and how it is done. Do you have to change the entire bed or just the floor? What year trucks have replacement metal beds to fit the 1972 C20 longbed? Does 1973-1975 work? Help not sure what to do to get rid of this wood floor.

I do not know where you are at in California but find a good steel bed floor and change it out along with the front bed panel that is differnet in a steel floor truck. I have sold a couple of steel floors for about 100 each. They seem to be available out here, not so sure back east.

One of the vendors on the board sells a bracket that you can use on your wood bed front panel so that you don't have to change it out. Check out Mar-K's website http://www.mar-k.com/

He has a lot of bed stuff.

Thanks guys, what year does the metal floor have to be from? Do I have to find the same year truck with a metal floor or do other years work? If I gain access to a complete 73-75 bed will the entire bed bolt on? Or will other years work for that too?
