Will a bench seat out of an "86 work in a 70' truck?

Does anyone know if a folding bench seat out of a 1986 Chevy 1/2 ton will work in a 1970 Chevy 1/2 ton? Thanks

You'll probably have to change the seat mounts, but it should work.

it's not a dairect bolt in, the floor on a 67 - 72 is flat, the 73 - 87 tthe rear legs on the seat are about 5 or 6 inches shorter.

Hey Jake, have been on here now and then. Not as much as you said. Been busy in the yard and building projects around the house and made some trips to Virginia, Texas and first part of next month heading to California to visit one of my daughtes, grandkids and son-in-law.

Andy,
So the rear will have to be raised about 6" or so? I will be putting bucket seats out of an (I think) 77' or 78' or so Chevy 1/2 ton into my '86. I bought off of a board member here some time ago. It has the low back. The bench seat will be going into a 70' Chevy Short Bed Cab. At the moment he does not have a seat at all and is doing a body off. Thanks for the advice.

might be easier to remove the seat from the frame and install on the correct frame. It may not be doable at all. They have a real goofy floor.
