Finally found 'em (pics)
Over the years, due to harddrive failure, etc; I lost the pics of my 68 I took when I found it. Finally tracked them down at an old geocities site I had forgot about. Thought you guys might like a look at what I started with.

Re: Finally found 'em (pics)
Ok, don't expect alot of visable progress. I actually had the truck running and drivable for a few months back last year, before the th350 started slipping and the 305 started knocking.
It now has a freshened up 350 and a 700r4. Still working out the kinks in the trans install. Still needs ALOT of body work and I desperately need a mig welder to do it right. mo money mo money mo money! I've done alot of little odds and ends to it. New HEI distributor, new timing chain and balancer, different seats, make shift console/arm rest (temp), shortened the steering column, cleaned up and painted the gauge cluster, new windsheild, new door locks and vent glass handles, modified the rear bumper, etc; etc; I have a blazer tank to go under the bed, just needs a couple holes welded up. I have the spindles, rotors and calipers to swap it to front disc brakes. Questions/comments welcome. |

Re: Finally found 'em (pics)
I likes. it makes my 4 eyes look like it belongs in the scrap yard. I agree with your progress, do the mechanicals first.
BTW, you will need ball joints to do the disc swap. get them for whatever the spindles are from and they will bolt/press into the upper/lower arms. keep the pics rolling. |
