Transfer Case Support ?

Can someone post a picture showing the support for the transmission / transfer case (700R4 and NP208)? Originally had a 4 speed manual and I am using the original cross member. I made a couple of brackets but not quite sure I'm on the right track. Unable to upload (attach) picture, message says it is too big.

Try posting the same question on the later years trucks section, they would have that combo in their thrucks from the factory.

The only thing we'd have to show you (stock) would be either a
th-350/205 or th-400/205 combo.

to the board, enjoy the ride.

Re: Transfer Case Support ?

I do not have the side mount installed. I have a rod attached to the two bolts for the side mount. The rod extends up to a bolt holding transmission to engine. It looks like it will be in the way of the exhaust when I get ready to install it. I will probably have to get rid of the rod and re-install the side mount. The side mount I have is from the original transfer case (205?).

Gary 70 - Can you post a picture of yours from the front showing the supports from the cross member up?

Re: Transfer Case Support ?

Can you use the same support you have, minus the upper supports, but
bolt the bottom section to where the top supports were, did that make
any sense, I can't do photoshop or I would, or am I making no sense

Re: Transfer Case Support ?

It took me a minute but I think I follow. That may be the ticket. I'll have to check to be sure the front driveshaft will not be blocked.

Re: Transfer Case Support ?

LUV - I was hoping I wouldn't have to take the body off again. I do appreciate your help.

Gary 70 - Look forward to the pictures. I do not miss that humidity, I grew up off I-70 in IN.
