Is TCS on th-350 needed?
I got a th-350 tranny with a TCS, can I run it without the TCS? It is for a 69 (pre TCS) truck. Can I just plug the hole where the sensor is?
Thanx in advance Dano |

Disconnect it, they run better without.

Re: Is TCS on th-350 needed?
The TCS switch on the trans. disables the distributor vacuum advance in first and second gears, and allows advance in third. Emissions crap.

Put all that stuff in a ziplock bag, mark it and save it. You may need it one day soon, I assume youv'e seen that our wonderful elected officials in Sac want to roll emissions tests back to 1966+.

Re: Is TCS on th-350 needed?
Thanx for the reply. I guess I'd better keep my air pump and components also.

Yeah, SEMA has been involved. I was actually shot down a year or two ago but its like a bad dream it keeps returning.
