Wheel Tire Decision

Hey all.

Need some advice/info.

I have a 68 C10 on a 71 or 72 Shortbed chassis.

I will install a Early Classic 4/6 Drop.

I am trying to decide wether to run 18 inch wheels or 20's

Please post lots of pics with detailed info including wheel size (18x8 etc)
tire size, and backspacing.

Thanks

Re: Wheel Tire Decision

This topic has been covered many times in the past. It all boils down to what "look" you are trying to accomplish. Personally, I like to see a set of 20's on a slammed truck, but then again, what do you have to spend?$$$$

Re: Wheel Tire Decision

Whatever you do, make sure the tire fills up the wheel well....seen too many rides with big inch rims and low profile (rubber band) tires that look too small in comparison to the wheel opening.

....and I tend to lean (heavily) toward a tire with some sidewall.

Re: Wheel Tire Decision

With a drop like that, I like a 17" wheel MAX. Add 60 series tires, and smile I am running 15" Vette ralleys at the moment, but will add 17's down the road.
