2002 envoy ball joints
the wife took her truck in for an alignment at the dealer and they say she needs new lower ball joints and sway bar links. $800 plus the alignment. she told them i would change the parts and the guy told her that he went to school for suspension and he cant even change the ball joints.
i took a look under and it LOOKS pretty straight forward to me. i did all 4 balls on her 4wd 97 blazer. i think the guy at the dealership is full of ^%#@. anyone change the ball joints on a newer envoy ? looks like a 4 hour job to me. |

Re: 2002 envoy ball joints
fairly easy job. guy at dealership is a money-hungry or a moron !! took me 1 1/2 hours to get 1st side apart. after knowing what tools to use and how to get it apart it took me less than half an hour to get the other side apart. new balls and struts getting put in at auto store right now. be back together later today with new pads and rotor too !
