Dash replacement... anyone ever done it ?
As most of you know my hauler was vandalized many years ago and ALL of the glass and lenses were broken out of it. Apparently they stood and stomped on the windshield and did some pretty significant damage to the top of the dash. The top area where the vents and radio speaker grille is wavy and bent from their destructive efforts. I'm thinking about cutting out the top panel and replacing it but I'm fearful that it may never look right. Any ideas ? Thanks, Dean

You should be able to replace the whole dash fairly easily. There are spot welds along the windshield seam, and them a couple bolts on the sides and then it should come out. Bolt the new one on and weld up the spot welds and you should be good to go.

Many guys on this board have replaced the entire dash, mainly because a previous owner hacked up the radio hole. Never done it myself but as described above it is pretty simple.

One of the dash pad covers that go all the way down to the windshield might be a good option. I know this is only masking the problem but you know what they say, "out of sight, out of mind".
