Glove box liner question. - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I received my new glove box liner last week. After sitting down in the truck with it, and looking real good, it looks as if I will have to remove everythig from under the dash to install it? Is there a way that this thing can be colapsed w/out messing it up too bad? Or am I just going to have to remove and reinstall everything under the Passenger side? I hope someone here has a magical trick of some kind?

If you take the gloovebox door off (have to anyway) you should be able to work it in. They are tough...but I have gotten both AC cab and non AC cabs in from the front.

I dont think there is a truck.....just a lot of time

i cut the top left corner so i could get it in. it's an AC truck

I just installed mine last week. Non-ac box. Went through the front after removing the door. No need to remove anything under the dash.....

Ok, Thanks. I wasn't in a patient mood when I looked at it, so I didn't look at it very hard. Asking here came to mind first. Thanks for the info. I'll give it a shot. Mine is/was an A/C truck, half of which is missing. But that is a whole new set of problems, to be addressed at a later time.

I have replaced mine twice (A/C truck) by removing the glove box door and going through the front. It is a PITA and you will bend the cardboard a bit, but it can be done.

Then again, I used to drink beer during all my projects.
