A/C fan blower not blowing on high??

Hey yall, I'm posting this question here because my van is a 92 and has the same a/c control panel as the 87 trucks. Heres my problem, when the fan switch is in the high setting the fan doesnt blow, when it is in all the other settings it blows the way its supposed to. Is it my fan or my switch?
i need your responses on this one because I need the A/C on high to cool the whole inside. Thanks in advance.

Re: A/C fan blower not blowing on high??

Fan Switch in the HVAC control panel, that's what my problem was. Changed the switch and I got my HIGH back.

Some people tell you all this crap about the wiring and how HIGH is on a different wire... but just change the switch first, they're cheap (both in price and quality, which is why it probably is borken) and then if you still have the problem, go with the whole, "other" train of thought, that someone else will have to explain.

Good luck

If it has a relay for high speed, wiggle the wires on it and see if it turns on. If not, bypass it and see if it works. If so, replace the relay.

Re: A/C fan blower not blowing on high??

Its the relay!! I went to the salvage yard today and bought the whole control panel because they didnt wont to seperate the switch from it ( cant say that I blame them) so I put it in this afternoon and same problem.found the relay and tested to see if I had power there and it was, tested relay and theres the problem. Now I need to find a relay. Thanks again for yoour help. Now to find out whats wrong with the passenger side power window, Thats going to be another thread.

You can buy a relay at any parts store. Just ask for an A/C Delco catalogue. Last one cost me $6 and change.
